While highly sought after, lip filler has also become one of the most feared procedures due to varied results people have experienced. Patients are often worried their lips will look unnatural or get ‘duck lips’.

Dr. Milanovic specializes in natural and subtle enhancements to the lips, making only adjustments where it’s necessary. We work on making the lips more plump, hydrated, defined, while still being ‘you’.

Many of our expressions include the mouth, and therefore, the lips. Adjusting the lips always requires a full assessment of the face as there are many parts of the face that contribute to their shape. So, while lips may be the feature you want to change, other features that contribute to them may also need to be altered first.

For example, bone loss in the cheekbones can lead to decreased strength in the muscles controlling the corners of the face. This can result in an unintentionally sad expression. As another example, a regressed chin can lead to the lower lip border appearing less defined, and peri-orifical fat lost as we age can make the lip itself appear smaller.

Dr. Milanovic makes sure to take all of this into consideration when treating the lips to give you results you never need to be fearful of.

Aging is a beautiful process, but it also leads to lines and wrinkles. These lines can make us look older, sad, or angry even when we don’t feel any of those emotions.

The area around the mouth tends to give away signs of aging more readily than other areas. If volume loss occurs in the upper aspect of the face this can lead to skin descent in the lower aspect. This results in undesirable deeper folds and lines.

In order to provide you with a natural-looking result, Dr. Milanovic will assess your face as a whole. He will determine where the majority of the bone absorption and volume loss has occurred, and restore those areas. This leads to better, healthier and more youthful-looking results, whereas just treating the lines directly may give off an unnatural and over-done appearance.
